The best part of my stay was how helpful the hotel staff were, particularly the Reception staff who could not have been more helpful or welcoming. Desventajas: Que la segunda noche a las 6 de la mañana sonó la alarma y nos mandaron desalojar la habitación y estuvimos en el hall, más o menos una hora y nadie nos ha dicho que ha pasado ni nos han dado explicaciones, solamente con una nota en la habitación nos han agradecido nuestra cooperación en el desalojo

El edificio principal alberga las estancias principales del Club Devonshire con 68 habitaciones y suites. Ventajas: On approach to the hotel a member of staff asked if I was looking for the Devonshire and immediately took my bags and guided to the reception where I was quickly and pleasantly checked in. I found my bags already in my room and everything nicely ready to commence my stay. The room was wonderfully quiet and I slept well in a very nice firm bed. The room temperature was easily alterable, the bathroom nice and all the facilities as one would hope. Breakfast next day was equally fine, with prompt, attentive, friendly, unintrusive service. I would very happily stay again and I would recommend the Devonshire and its staff.

Desventajas: Llegamos a nuestra habitación y había ambiente de aire enrarecido. Entiendo que existan disposiciones que no permiten abrir las ventanas pero..... busquemos soluciones señores, muchos hoteles ofrecen pequeñas aberturas a los costados de las ventanas o soluciones para hacer circular el aire con el exterior. La calidad del desayuno depende de quién te atiena ya que no es tipo Buffet.

Ventajas: The staff was very informed and accomodating. The room met our expectations and beyond. The view from our balcony was amazing. We were celebrating our anniversary and upon arriving we had a beautiful desert awaiting us in our room wishing us a Happy Anniversary. The location of the hotel is excellent, within walking distance of the Tower Bridge and many other attractions and if not the subway station was within a block. We would be more than happy to stay at the Apex again.

Ventajas: Can’t say enough good things about this hotel. The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome, the food at the restaurant is delicious, and the location is great. Tower Hill tube station is just across the road, the Tower of London and Tower Bridge are a 5 minute walk, and there are tons of great pubs and restaurants nearby. The rooms are modern and very clean. I will definitely stay here again when I return to London.

Desventajas: No hay muchas opciones para comer en la zona durante las horas de la noche.

El hotel también intentó cobrarnos demasiado por el desayuno (cobró a todo el grupo por desayunos de lujo cuando intencionalmente acabamos de pedir a la carta. Los viajeros de negocios en una cuenta de gastos probablemente no se molestan en discutir con el camarero y luego con un supervisor.
El personal repetidamente dio información incorrecta sobre los cierres de carreteras cercanos para varios desfiles.

Desventajas: Me alojé en el Ned un sábado por la noche, así que la zona del bar/restaurante de la planta baja estaba extremadamente ocupada. Esto a su vez causó bastante ruido. Mi habitación era bastante baja, así que tal vez si tienes una habitación en un piso más alto el ruido no será un problema. Honestamente, no me molestaba nada, pero quería mencionarlo, ya que podría hacerlo para algunas personas. Suministran tapones para los oídos en la habitación.

Desventajas: We had some trouble with checking into the hotel and spent almost an hour standing at the reception desk before being checked in. We had paid for a double room with included both a shower and separate bath. There was no bath. The room itself looked nice but was not as big as advertised. We came back to the room after enjoying drinks and entertainment downstairs within the hotel. Pulled back the bed covers to find a nice dirty sock that didn’t belong to us. In the morning we woke up to a foul blocked toilet that absolutely stank and was quite obviously out of use. We called the hotel staff who told us there wasn’t actually anything they could do about it immediately and would send an engineer. However the issue still wasn’t even attended to by the time we checked out. Extremely disappointing given the amazing reviews we read about before choosing this hotel.

Desventajas: The beds were uncomfortable and personally too soft as I have had surgery on my lower back. One feature was high speed internet but I had real problems connecting while I held business conference calls in my room which in the end lead to me having to host them via my own internet hotspot.

Also, slightly gutted that we was looking forward to the secret garden bar that we were not allowed to even go to or experience as there was a private party. Overall I’m not very impressed with the £360 I have paid.

Desventajas: The sound proving between our room, 112 & 111 was less than satisfactory and took the edge of what had been a very pleasant evening dining out followed by the theatre.

Desventajas: THE WEED/CANNABIS SMELL!!!!! Whenever you leave your room with aircon on, the moment you come back you will smell a strong weed like smell throughout the whole room. Number of times we we came back from sightseeing, we would have to open our door to the foyer hallway to air out the smell. The staff said it was due to the outside gutter smell of London and the staff were kind enough to offer a change of room the following monday as they were very booked out that weekend however since we just arrived after a 22hr flight from Australia we were just really tired.

Desventajas: The tube stop directly next door was closed for weekend maintenance, so we found ourselves having to walk to and from either Liverpool St or East Aldgate. This was not the hotel’s fault but it was a minor inconvenience considering we picked the hotel based on the fact it was next to a station. I imagine if you’re staying here during the week that’s not an issue but weekend trip guests might want to reconsider, especially if you’re like us and had heavy bags. The rooftop bar was a fabulous view but £27 for two drinks was a double take. But that’s London, so.

Ventajas: One of the guests has a physical difficulty, the initial response from the hotel was that we could be accommodated and then we received an email telling us that we couldn't be accommodated and that as we hadn't paid, the booking would be cancelled and we wouldn't pay any fees. I had to phone the hotel to ask to please hold our booking and talk through that the Hotel could or couldn't do to accommodate a disabled person. Once that had been resolved, all was great. Amalia, in particular, was outstanding

Desventajas: La habitación es extremadamente pequeña. No hay armario ni espacio para pasear. Hay sólo unos 5 pies entre las camas y el baño. Sólo una persona puede moverse a la vez. Después de 1 día se quedó el rato y lo hizo funcionar. El cuarto de baño y la habitación están divididos por cristal esmerilado. No proporcionó privacidad a las familias.
