Ventajas: The location is great. Right around the corner from the V&A and the Natural History Museum. Across the street from the Tube, and surrounded by great restaurants. This was the perfect home base for a weekend in London. The decor was charming and whimsical, sort of Alice in Wonderland with lots of bright colors and a bird theme which ran through the hotel. Our room was small as most London Hotels are, and finding a place to stow the luggage was a bit of a hat trick, but once we figured it out, everything was great. Although we never had breakfast at the hotel, we did have morning coffee and tea in the tea room every day. Delightful. Would return in an instant!

Ventajas: The hotel is truly lovely. I think we had the smallest room there which I booked unknowingly. But it worked just fine. The bed was so comfy. There were slippers and robes and the bathroom floor was heated. The daily tea was also very nice. I can't write enough to explain how exceptional the hotel, staff and location were. You will have to try it for yourself. Overall I plan to go back to London and stay here again.

It was gorgeous inside, extremely well located near the South Kensington tube and nearby pubs and restaurants in Chelsea, the staff was simply wonderful and the rooms were pretty and very comfortable. Also loved the front room where you can grab a bite to eat and a glass of wine, and the breakfast room downstairs. The free water, juices and soft drinks provided in the bar fridge were a nice touch.

Desventajas: The gym was very well appointed in terms of weights, towels and free water but the space was too small in my view, it needed to be at least double the size as only 2-3 people would comfortably fit. Equally, the smaller hotel rooms (where my sisters stayed) have limited space if you are staying for more than 2 nights, but the hotel reception kindly advised us of this beforehand.

Desventajas: The rooms are not very sound proof we had extremely loud neighbors several nights. More of business hotel. There were not many things to help tourists book restaurants or get around. The staff didn't have guidance on hop on hop off buses or tours. We figured it out on our own but I think in other hotels there is more help for that type of thing.

Desventajas: Varias cosas que deberían de ser cambiadas. No es un hotel de cinco estrellas. No se como tiene esa categoría. La habitación, totalmente decepcionante. Inmobiliario muy anticuado, la insonorización pésima. La tele no funcionaba correctamente, la moqueta tenia manchas ( que probablemente no se podían eliminar). La conexión de internet muy mala y lenta. La puerta del baño no se cerraba. Pienso que el hotel, en su día fue un muy buen hotel de cinco estrellas, pero ha día de hoy necesita un reforma de inmobiliario, no puedes pagar un hotel de cinco estrellas cuando hay de cuatro mejores que este.

The breakfast is good although not many varieties, it’s sufficient to me! Staff was friendly and helpful. It was a good stay!

But still a lovely breakfast just didn’t feel very welcome

I asked for a high room and got it no problem - there's a load bar across the road and I didn't want to listen to the people outside all night. The view was great. It is clean and well maintained. Ok size room for normal standards, but this is London so compared to what you get in this city, it is enormous. Plus the pool and steam room were a nice bonus to clear the head in the morning.

Ventajas: The breakfast was great, the steam room was really hot. The hotel was very accommodating for my special requests. Desventajas: The WiFi was basically not working at all unless you were in the lobby. The pool had no shallow end so not good for children or short people. The shower in the ladies locker room was broken. The pillows were not comfortable at all. The mattresses are firm which wasn’t good or bad. I wasn’t keen on the mojito my bartender made me either. I would absolutely stay here again but these were the things I didn’t like. I wouldn’t recommend eating at the hotel but the kids menu is good for kids (I have a 20 month old)

Desventajas: They have 2 breakfast options: continental or hot English. We had a continental included in the price. There is a special person that instructs each guest on which breakfast they are entitled to have and that the hot breakfast is extra. Not very classy... I have a feeling they spend more money doing that and creating a negative vibe, as opposed to letting everyone have some scrambled eggs (how much can they cost?) and a good impression of the hotel.

Desventajas: Beware of the £50 per NIGHT holding fee they charge as I didn’t see any detail on this when I booked. They also don’t refund it until 5-7 days after you check out which I also wasn’t made aware of until three follow up calls after. The room was also a bit shabby which I normally wouldn’t mind as we are real it’s just a place to rest your head people and are rarely in our room anywhere we go but it was an occasion stay and the room had very obvious paint touch ups needed and the staff weren’t rude by any means but not overly helpful or friendly either and I found being told to go sit down when ordering at the bar and then being charged a table service fee very strange.

Desventajas: The furniture was dated and old. The chair did not feel solid and everything in the room looked and felt like it was at least 15 years old and had not been updated. The bathroom (whilst a good size) had a musty smell to it, which added to the feeling that this place needed an upgrade. The TV had very few channels on it (Freeview has more variety) and i couldn't even find the basic channels like BBC, ITV etc. There was very little room for hanging clothes since half the width of the (door-less) handing space was take up by the ironing board. The AC was very strong and the fan speed at its lowest was high. Trying to turn the temperature up or down was useless, you just get the same cool temperature. Not worth the price at all!! There are hotels in the area less than 5 minutes walk at a lower cost and significantly better than this.

Desventajas: Room had too many beds in for the size. 3 tier beds meant no head room in middle bunk. I had been given a bottom bunk because I have a bad back but someone had taken it. As bottom bunks were on the floor O would have struggled with them as well, to stand up when I got out. People having sex in bunks next to me and person under me had the sour smell of someone who had not washed in a long time. I suspect the person was homeless and using the hostel for somewhere to live. Breakfast was ok. I stay in hostels a lot and have stayed in the Safestay in York which was much better and not so crammed together, cleaner too. The laminate on stairs to reception was lifting on each step which is a trip hazard.

No one ever asked for that paper, but the idea itself is annoying. There is no microwave or a fridge to cook your own breakfast or store some food

También un montón de puertas "molonas" en nuestra planta, la mayoría de la noche así que una noche en efecto muy ruidosa. Es una pena porque nos alojamos en este hotel antes y nos dieron una habitación fantástica pero esta vez no fue la mejor.

Desventajas: Checked in and was met with a queue and also no welcome just a response of do you have ID for the room. We only booked the standard rooms, four of them and they were pretty basic and cramped for a hotel hitting £150plus a night. Wouldn’t stay again. I’d probably use some of the other smaller hotels and save some money. Expectations were higher than what was realised with this hotel. Also got woken up at 7.30 with a maintenance person knocking on next door for what seemed like minutes with no discretion.

It was very claustrophobic. There is a very contrast between the Hall of the hotel that seems very luxuous and the room. Unbelievable in actual times. Just went to the room to sleep every day, we stayed in the Hall the rest of time stayed in hotel. It was not possible to change room; listened other clients also contested some rooms, not know what or what exactly. Our room was 308. We felt discomfortable and thought even to pay and go to another hotel. The other rooms we don’t know how they lol like. Very bad price quality relation.

Ventajas: I really liked the night staff member - Lionel. I came in the middle of the night completely exhausted and his smile, his very warm approach has made me feel welcomed and safe. Honestly, I was a bit scared to stay in a hostel, especially because female dorm was not available at the time of the booking and the room is smaller than it is comfortable. He was polite, fun to talk to and helpful. I had genuine feeling he is a nice person to hang around. I was glad the locker inside of the room was big enough to store a small luggage and that in the bunk bed space you could find a plug, where to charge a phone. The long mirror in the room was also something I liked.

Desventajas: The rooms are uncomfortably small with too many bunk beds. When I wanted to open my tiny luggage, someone would open the door and hit me or someone would come out of bathroom and had to go through me. It was terrible to go toilet inside of the room as you could hear everything from the bathroom cubicle. Also I felt the bed curtains are not being changed after the guests left. There was no space to hang a towel, which is pretty annoying. The room ventilation was awful, there is a fan, which is noisy and terribly small window that opens at the bottom, not at the top - which I do not think is terribly safe or helping to ventilate.

Desventajas: The mattress was very ‘spring-y’ it wasn’t the greatest nights sleep, woke up with sore backs and hips. We were also in the basement although we did pay for a windowless room i’m not sure what we expected but it was still a lovely room. the constant noise you could hear also wasn’t the best throughout the night!

Desventajas: I got a room on the lower floors, the room smelled stale, was a long walk away from the elevator and when I went to request a change I got attitude from the front desk staff Ana-Maria. I literally wanted to cancel and leave unfortunately as I had booked through booking.com I was told I needed to take that up with them. I asked for a room on a higher floor and was told she would only change my room if I either went back up and got my luggage or waited 30-40 mins for a concierge to help me. I was so upset. I went back up, gor my luggage and came back down. PS why dont they keep extra bottles of water in the room for your use?

Desventajas: Rooms were not clean. Carpet is filthy and needs to be removed, The comforters all smelled and the duvet covers do not get replaced when you leave. I changed rooms while I was there. Upon leaving you to leave the comforter douvet on the bed and the next person reuses it. The only f you ask they will give you a fresh one but the comforter still smell they need to be replaced immediately.

Two time on my first debit card. One time them reservation first debit card(i didn't know nothing). One time i payed again whit my first debit card (my booking on booking.com). They have cancelled the two reservation (One true and one fake...) after take me money for two times into my first debit card. For sleep that night, i did must pay again whit my fisical (second) debit card £ 14.71. The price whit my reservation was £ 12.87. Them refund my only 12.87 tell me that i have payed another day...that i've payed whit cash.

The reception staff were very friendly and helpful we arrived at the hotel early in the morning check in was at 2 pm we asked if we could leave our suitcases and check in later also when we checked out we again asked if we could leave our cases and pick up early evening this was agreed so we spent all day seeing London without the burden of suitcases and as we were going on the London Eye this was a great help as your bags are searched. The breakfast was help yourself buffet style which included the full English, croissant, fruit juice,coffee etc all hot nice way to start your day sightseeing.

Llegamos tarde por la noche y no había ningún gerente encargado de ayudarnos hasta la mañana siguiente los pasillos y las alfombras están sucios, pero una vez que nos trasladaron la segunda habitación no estaba mal.

I would stay again when in London but I would make further research on other hotels in the area to compare price and facilities.

Ventajas: Justo a la vuelta de la esquina del transporte público. El personal era muy amable y servicial. Muy buena relación calidad-precio.
Desventajas: Las habitaciones y las instalaciones sufrían de cualquier edad o de un diseño deficiente. A veces ambos. Tuve que pasar mucho tiempo en los cafés, porque la habitación no tenía una toma eléctrica para cargar mi teléfono. La única ventilación en la habitación era desde una ventana abierta, exponiéndote a todo tipo de ruido de tráfico durante toda la noche.

Ventajas: Short walk from Underground station.
Desventajas: The place is crying for renovation works. Carpet on densely populated areas which means it's never really clean. Very uncomfortable mattress. Pictures here don't seem to belong there. Definitely not the room I stayed in.

Ventajas: nothing! this place is horrible. People smoke everywhere, shower so DIRTY! rooms are ok and location but honestly DIRTY! DIRTY. If you are going with family avoid this place ( is only for young people and backpackers)

Ventajas: La ubicación , pero vale la pena pagar un poco mas por otro alojamiento .
Desventajas: Nada, es todo pésimo , ojalá no se fuera a alojar nadie mas ahí, porque echaría a perder su estancia en el país ,como ocurrió conmigo ,el dormitorio horrible , publicidad engañosa con la habitación y las fotos que mostraban , la cama se salian los resortes , la alfombra pegoteada de suciedad un asco!! Ni muerta volveria a ese lugar tan espantoso ,el desayuno corriente nada de otro mundo, las duchas y baños hediondos a orina , muy mal mantenido y para que decir recepción unos pesados un tipo y una tipa española ultra desagradable que parece que la cara les llegaba al suelo , nada de amabilidad cero interaccion con el huesped ,para mas colmo me sacaron de la pieza una noche antes de mi check in , lo unico bueno de eso, esq me bajaron la maleta desde el 5 piso por las escaleras , ahh porq no hay ascensor ni una dusculpa dieron por la falla de sistema , pero parece q es costumbre hacer eso leía por ahí , Londres es bello y en medio de la belleza está esta pudrición , mal mal mal mal .. no vayan . Mi error fue no leer comentarios de huespedes , no aparecian , y ahora entiendo porq , De ante mano ,gracias

Ventajas: Horrible and bully the French woman at the reception. It is almost an horror house.
Desventajas: The hostel definitely needs new staff at the reception. They treat customers like a dirt. Never cleaned the rooms. Only changed the bins . Filthy and disgusting! !

Ventajas: Room was dirty, blood on sheets, no hair dryer like advertised and when asked, given a small one covered in sellotape to hold it together. Hotel was under construction but you only new that when you turn up. Very dirty, and we paid for breakfast, it was in a basement with no windows and two baskets, one with bread and croissant, butter. Cheap cornflakes and coffee erne that was nasty.

Desventajas: Unclean, old, getting done up so unclean and equipment everywhere. Man on reception laughed when I said my name. Front door was all smashed, which was a heath and safety hazard. Would not stay here again!!

Desventajas: Dependencias del hotel sucio, se entiende que éste en remodelación pero las áreas que estan habilitadas para los huéspedes como recepción , ascensor también estaban sucias y con materiales de construcción o ropa de cama y de baño. Tampoco esta cerrado el paso de los huéspedes hacia las áreas que se encuentran en remodelación y vi a varios huéspedes perderse en el acceso y tomar las escaleras que no estan en habilitadas (sucias y con escombros de construcción) Habitación limpia pero la mitad de los enchufes electricos malos , cama sin frazadas y no había televisión en la habitación

Desventajas: Not at all as described - no TV, duvet, 2 single beds at opposite ends of the room when I booked a double, no number on my door, wires exposed in room, mirror not hung yet, construction work going on when I stayed which was not at all made clear.

Desventajas: Coincidió que el hotel estaba en reformas y faltaban cosas por poner en la habitación (faltaba la televisión, calefacción, un armario/estantería para dejar la ropa, algún enchufe en el baño) pero por lo demás muy bien. Desayuno con poca variedad pero lo que había estaba bueno.
