This hotel has everything you need and is located in the middle of san Jose with easy access to transportation and all the downtown museums.
Great front desk staff,(especially Christopher). Great walking location, such as, sight seeing around downtown, restaurants, shopping areas, and taxies was right there for your quick convenience, and even the city bus. Great breakfast every morning. I loved the place and look forward to returning soon. The beds was a little hard, however it didn't stop me from sleeping.
I liked he location. The fact that you could hear a conversation four rooms away.
I love the location. The breakfast in the morning was fantastic. And the room was very clean. Our room didn't have a window. Just a glass door leading to a shaft.
Very good hotel + friendly staff + spacious rooms + comfortable beds + great location + free breakfast = awesome
The hotel is pretty central to everything. The staff is helpful. The room wa clean.
Staff was friendly and easy to work with. Included breakfast was very good. Room felt old and dirty. Bed was very uncomfortable. There was no hot water in the shower. Very disappointed with this place.
The professional staff was incredible.
Don't leave the hotel after dark.
Located just off the bustling central street, the Hotel Presidente offers refined comfort in their modern-designed hotel. From friendly greeting from the staff to a tasty breakfast, our stay was pleasant from beginning to end. The location allows any traveler to find restaurants and the Teatre Nacional within minutes. For such a modern and refined hotel, we were surprised to find the window would not lock shut! Though we were up high, this "insecurity" may cause anxiety for some; for others, like us, we prefer to have the window open at night. Our bed was also surprisingly hard while among new bathroom facilities when also in a room with new bathroom facilities.
Location was excellent-right on the pedestrian walkway convienient to stores, restaurants, and sights. Breakfast was included and had made to order eggs, and other offerings. Wi-fi was free. Rooms were very comfortable and very clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
The atmosphere, the fact that is new and clean. The personnel of the hotel, the food during breakfast. I did not like the streets surrounding the hotel
All of the staff were friendly and helpful and their english was good. Jorge at the front desk was a super star. I'd had some challenges with my room on an earlier/previous stay and then again on my most recent stay so Jorge upgraded me to a suite. But they had remodeling construction going on and the suite was right above the noisy area so Jorge moved me to a nicer suite away from the noise and provided some other comforts to make up for the inconvenience. He really went out of his way to make me comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was excellent and the servers and cooks top notch. Unfortunately the remodeling construction was loud in the mornings if you wanted to sleep in. And although the location was central in San Jose with easy access to shops and taxi's the street noise from vendors yelling sometimes was irritating.
Located on a pedestrian street within walking distance to many restaurants and bars. Room faced away from the street and was quiet. Room rate included free secure parking. The front desk staff were pleasant and helpful in pointing out local sites and places to eat.
Clean, friendly, secure entry, free breakfast/wifi/computer, not too far from everything, helpful. Near train track, but only runs Mon-Fri.
When we showed up at 2:30 in the afternoon we were astonished to discover that they had given our room away even though we had paid a week in advance. They did however pay for and take us to Hotel 1492 which met our needs and was in a better neighborhood.
Great place to stay. An old classic Costa Rican home turned into a small hotel. Some of the rooms are small but a great place to sleep. Neighborhood is really great. Lots of cool bars and restaurants nearby. Close to San Pedro, university, Jazz Cafe. Really nice residential area, fresh market grocery store. Great staff.
Location, location, location, walk to many sights. There are many beautiful women, personally speaking I like being around beautiful girls and no one is putting a gun to you to do anything more than have a drink with them. It is what it is.Never boring ! Nothing. No complaints. Great hotel, great value.
I hadn't stayed at the Del Rey for 12 years. The place was still great, perhaps even better.
Location, price, food, staff I think they discontinued the good cheap drinks unless you are playing
Front desk staff was nice and friendly. Room did not match photos at all. AC did not adjust so it was either freezing or hot. Lamps didn't work. No window in the room. Whole hotel hasn't been updated in over 20 years at least. Water from the shower shot everywhere but where it was supposed to. Sheets were stained. Not a good experience at all.
Location is great No chica fe Breakfast is good Price is great Staff is very helpful Good drink special on Friday night lots of locals Noise from street is very loud I would get inside room with no widows AC is not the best Rooms have not been updated since the 80s But if want a cheap place and great location this is a good choice
My sister and I stayed one night at Hotel Aranjuez. The service was amazing and room was clean and comfortable. We were nervous because we hadn't heard good things about San Jose, but we felt safe and welcomed as soon as we arrived at the hotel. The receptionist gave us great recommendations for restaurants and activities, and the hotel was close to most major sights. I would definitely recommend staying at Hotel Aranjuez!
