Downtown location. Good valet parking service. No minibar
hotel staff there was no refrigerator; it cost to use wi fi; it was too expensive for one bed that was advertised as a double; it was noisy.
We attended a function in the downtown area and the location was perfect. Room key did not work initially, I called the front desk from a house phone and an employee checked my identification and opened the door, he returned a short while later with a new key.
Proximity to convention center, willingness of staff to accommodate requests
The bed was very comfortable and the sheets were lovely. The reception staff were not very friendly or helpful. They didn't seem suited to the service industry. The concierges were very helpful and friendly.
Location and room Staff didn't seem to know the area. I had to go to a coffee shop to even know what neighborhood the hotel was in.
I loved the room service breakfast. And how close it was to everything to do in downtown Sacramento. I had such a blast and everyone was pleasant and helpful during our stay. Definitely staying here again in the fire
The Lobby, the Gym, the pool and the rooms are great. I also enjoyed the very friendly and helpful staff during the Sunday Brunch. Having to wait in line for 5 minutes for the elevator in my floor and up to 10 minutes in the lobby. There was a lot of people and the elevators took forever.
Location. Cannot believe the room have no Internet connection included in the price.
Clean rooms. The TV service is worst I have seen anywhere. Very basic service. A major basketball game is on ( Warriors ) and they did not have the channel, really! This is a business hotel in Sacramento. I go to the lobby bar and they have two flat screens circa 2005. Spend $1400 at Costco for two new flat screens. They missed the attention to detail that is required in this market. Will not stay there again.
Clean, modern room Did not have free parking or WIFI
Great location. Walking distance to restaurants. Donut shops. Thrift store shopping everything. We stayed for an athletic event but had some time to do other stuff. Close to a 7 eleven if you need a quick snack and self parking was across the street but easy to get to. A lot of homeless in the area but there is nothing the hotel can do about that. Just be cautious when walking at night.
I have always loved this building, and nice hotel rooms for less than $150/night are in short supply in downtown Sacramento. The Sterling gave us outstanding value for a spacious room with enormous Jacuzzi bathtub and beautiful four-poster bed in a gorgeous historic Victorian era home. Check in and check out experience efficient and pleasant, with flexibility on a little extra time for check out. I would definitely stay again and recommend to friends with caveats below. There is on the street parking but it is metered with a two-hour limit after 8am or before 6pm Mon-Sat, so you will get a parking ticket if you sleep in. The street gutter was filled with leaves, making it a little messy for shoes and luggage. There is a $16 city lot just a block away... But it is a block away. A valet service would be ideal. As other guests have commented, some room elements such as sinks are beginning to show signs of age, but they did not detract from the outstanding value of our room.
Clean quiet room for a good price in a good location. Nothing fancy. I liked it all
The hotel's location was great! There was stagnant water in the bowed bathtub, the bathroom itself was filthy overall. The carpet in front of the bathroom seemed like it was constantly wet for no reason. The parking lot had a intense repugnant odor for 2 of my 3 day stay.
Very nice staff and location.......not perfect rooms but for the price was great!!!
The price Slightly ghetto
