The architecture and decor is suberb. The attention to detail is beyond description. Location is wonderful. It is wonderfully tranquil and reminded me of the Lost City in Beijing.
Loved the hotel's landscaping and the deign of the facility. I've never seen a landscaping crew work as hard, and their efforts showed. Liked the pool a lot as well. The staff's professionalism can really be improved. They weren't rude but They need to work on the little things. My wife asked the front desk for a list of the costs associated with the hotel's laundry service. The guy at the front desk says "it's found in the closet near the tv" (which it wasn't). This is supposed to be a five star hotel. Other places would apologize and quickly go find a list for their guests, instead of fault the blame on their guests. Additionally, there is no hair conditioner in the hotel's bathroom. I understand that some may not require this, but I'd be willing to bet a good portion of the hotel's guests do. You have to personally request conditioner from the hotel's maid service. Weird. And finally, their drink pool service has a lot to improve upon. I had to go to the hotel's other bar on the other side of the hotel to get drinks by the pool. On the last day of my stay, the hotel staff told me I could call that bar and they would deliver drinks over to the pool, but when I called, no one answered.
Superb hotel. Designed with taste, very clean, well maintained. Located within the old city, easy for local tours to pick you up. Walking distance from other parts of the Old Town. Very good breakfast. I would definitely stay there again. Top marks for staff for being helpful and kind.Fantastic! The only improvement I can think of is to make one PC available in the lobby for the internet as not everyone carries a laptop (Wifi is available there)
The staff is freidnly and nice, trying to help. The hotel is too old and outday and not comfortable. Actually I have to move out after staying one night, even I booked for two night. However the staff in the hotel is very freindly and helpful. Actully the hotel price is cheap, but you have various better section in Chiangmai with same budget.
The Lobby (entrance) is the only good place in this hotel : new, beautiful. The rest of the hotel is so different : old, used, smelly, worn out ... really not new ! Price was low, OK, but quality is so low too ! The room has no view and is too old: walls are damaged, bathroom's shower is not working well (and the pb is that nobody seems to ever care about it, as hotel seems like so many years old). The Breakfast is not too good : watermelon is the only fruit, everyday; bread is dry and bad quality, the jam too is not good ! Omelette was a very good choice. Pool is not clean too. U can find better for almost the same price, in this city !
breakfast was great some of the reception staff were surly
Only the location, within the old town. All the rest. Very bad rooms, old and moldy. No sitcom on coridors. Poor breakfast. Small and un cleaned swimming pool. We were suppose to stay 5 nights but we checked out after 1 night only.
