First time at this hotel but we know Edinburgh very well and were in town one night for an event. Would recommend the hotel and found it excellent. Staff were lovely and the room we had was far better than expected with excellent touches and comforts - loverd the rubber duck! Breakfast was very good. Very good location for walking or bus around the city and we had a hire car so parking at sister hotel at reasonable cost was a bonus.

Bed was very big and had a fridge, in bought my own milk as we don't like the uht,
Everything was fine, just a little noisy when people sat on the sofa on the first floor our room was very close to them, but it was ok, maybe not having the sofas there at all

Room really clean and great location.
The staff could be more friendly. I missed a warm good morning and didn’t feel welcome. Receptionists weren’t able to give us normal desk accessories. The breakfast room was too busy.

Loved the fantastic location right in the middle of Grassmarket.
It was very hot in the room and the heating seemed to keep resetting to automatically coming on, after being turned off. In the end we had to leave the window open during the evening to cool it down before going to bed,
