Right in the center of the city, metro & buses are close by and very easy to get around.
delicious breakfast buffet ,good location
The hotel was good for the value. The wifi in the room was not secure.
The MRT that's right beside the hotel. The furnishing of the room is too old and just out of date already especially compared to the up beat enviroment and atmosphere Taipei is surrounded with.
The breakfast buffet was not very good. Must of the hot food was cold.
Very friendly staff who were more thank willing to help us in any way! Great stay
entrance and lobby pretty fancy swimming pool is tiny!! and rooms are a little old
Room was clean and classy. Service was excellent. Very accommodating in check-out time (extended to 3pm), which was a great help for me as my son napped in the early afternoon.
First, for the rate Hyatt charges , the connection fee on internet should have been free or very minimum like many other 4 or 5 star rated hotels WW. \n\nI have used the Hyatt HK several times , same problem. The connection fee is even higher. \n\nAll other services are excellent. \n\nPlease be aware of certain $100 US bill.... some were not cashable with Taiwan Hyatt. I was told Taiwan has counterfeit on certain code of $100 US bills. Traveller checks and credit cards are much better. Best place to exchange Taiwan money is at the airport.
The availability of variety for food and drinks in the same building were great when we were too tired to come up with somewhere to go for food. Location was awesome for shopping and some of the the big sites. Very close to the metro, but cabs are so inexpensive and accessible that we were able to get those to head to destinations too far to walk. We were bummed that the mineral pools were not open during our January stay. There was no advance warning on their website about it being seasonal or under construction.
A comfortable choice of accomodation in Taipei especially the nearby location of Ximending area. The Xiu Nam Men subway station is very close to the hotel with 5 minutes walk. It should be convenient to go to Taipei 101 far from a few subway stations.
great location, close to MRT and HSR train ,great location, close to MRT and HSR tranin AC did not cool properly, could not get room below 72 f / /22.5 C, even leaving it on all day. big disappointment for me, when it is as hot and Humid as Taipei is.
This is a large boutique hotel, so you either love it or hate it. I loved it. It does have a dark look, but the quality of the interior is terrific. The detail in the room, everything from the desk to the venting of the air-conditioning is very well done. If you like to walk around, it's a little far from major attractions. The hotel was kind enough to arrange a cab for me anytime I needed it.
Great location. Friendly and helpful staff. Good food. Facilities - a swimming pool and a spa would be great additions
There's a bus to take you to and from the airport right to the hotel for approximately $3. It's convenient to get to the National Palace Museum, a fabulous museum of Chinese art. The restaurant is OK, but we enjoyed the club restaurant which is on the campus. This is a hotel catering to tour groups. We had a small room with nice bath, but it was on the inside so no windows. We used the concierge who went out of her way to help us but the front desk was less helpful.
The staff lived up to its reputation as being both friendly and helpful. Also, we visited the Shangri-La while in Taipei and glad we stayed at the Landis. The other hotels had an industrial feel and totally impersonal. Will be returning. The only complaint was that the beds were a bit hard, but not a deal breaker.
This is a very elegant hotel with a wonderful layout. The rooms were absolutely beautiful and very clean, with spacious bathrooms and a very comfortable bed. The staff were incredible. They all displayed high quality customer service and were extremely helpful, from getting us taxis to helping us find local places to eat as well as suggestions of where to go to see things in Taipei. The breakfast was very well organized and had a mix of western and Chinese food. One of the Manager's Johnny was very kind and respectful and always made sure that we were happy. The whole stay was amazing and would very highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Taipei. For the service and amenities this hotel offered I believe this was an excellent deal in terms of cost. I will definitely return to this hotel in the future.
I had updrade for suite room for 1 night, really lovely. Hotel modern with a delicious pastry in the ground floor. Staff really polite.
service was excellent, location great neighborhood didn't have stores that were of interest to walk to.
Friendly service, value for money, good sized rooms, with excellent facilities, well located for use of local domestic airport
Friendly service, great attention to detail throughout the hotel.
Great location and the staff was extremely nice and helpful. I was on the 8th floor and there was a stale odor in the hallway. The electric toilet didn't work and the shower door leaked water on the bathroom floor. As for their breakfast buffet, while the service was great, the breakfast was disappointingly mediocre at best. They could have easily improved the quality, for example, if you're serving bagels and lockes, please have cream cheese available... and of course some sliced cucumber, tomatoes, and capers will be nice too.
Very clean - the most important thing I want in a hotel. Service efficient. Convenient to MRT - 5 minute walk, and public buses right in front.
I had great time staying here over the week of the Computex Show Taipei. It was a wonderful location. I enjoy the food the most. I will stay again.
The hotel is lcoated on Chung Shan N. Rd. which makes great location.
This hotel offers little tv channels . Almost every channel is a bloody news channel. I will not stay this hotel in the future.
Location near the red line MRT is great! Staff were very friendly and helpful. Water pressure and temperature in the shower were both excellent--something that is often not true in hotels in Asia. Carpet in the room (#618) had spots on it. Definitely needed to be cleaned.
It was very clean and well maintained. The front doorman and the reception's staffs at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. It is 15 min cab ride away from the Sungsan Taipei Airport and lots of major attractions and shopping malls are within 15 min cab rise away including Taipei 101. The roof top outdoor pool has a great view of Taipei city and Taipei 101. It is a bit expensive but you get what you pay for. The closest metro station is 10 min walk away but not good when the weather is 29-30 deg C.
service from the staff is good no
The room is very confortable. The size is good enough. The location is not very convenient.
very helpful staff, clean accommodation, confortable faniture, location of the hotel (city centre), reasonable price per facilities from the airport bus stop, i can not see any sign of the hotel.
Very good service and friendly staff. Everything very well organized, clean rooms etc. This is 100% recommendable.
the hotel is situated in the center of the city-- walking distance from the electronic market mall and 10-20 min taxi ride from anywhere else in the city.the hotel stuff are very polite and willing to help on any question.
Great locations, convenience airport transport
comfortable and good location, especially,Evergreen groups have a shuttle bus service from Airport directly to Hotel.Breakfast in the morning also very typical unique room none
Extreme staff courtesy, excellent food none
The staff attentiveness.... The so called 5-star ratings....
The hotel staff are very helpful and polite. They are fast to respond for any service request. Its an ideal hotel for business trip.
I was pleasantly surprised with this hidden treasure that provided superb customer service at all times. The hotel is five minutes from the MRT and surrounded with good cheap eats. Taxi ride to 101 was only $4.00 USD I was quite impressed with the quick, prompt, excellent staff that were always willing to help with very little needs. I had a long list of souvenirs to get from Taipei and the staff were more than happy to help me find the locations of the items. Although I was only a starwood preferred member, I felt like a VIP during my 4 days stay in March 2012 and was glad I had picked Westin. I highly recommend this hotel and I will definitely return again. P.S. I am returning in November 2012
Gran ubicación. Buenas instalaciones. Hotel administrado sin mucha destreza. La habitación no estaba limpia, olía mal, y tenía alfombras sucias. Las habitaciones necesitan reformas importantes. Un personal no muy amable sobre todo a la hora de atender las necesidades de los huéspedes.
