Downtown parking was expensive. $37 per night for overnight valet parking at the hote.
The staff provided excellent customer service. I don't know that I've ever had such good service during a hotel stay. The rooms were clean and quite nice, the location is perfect for exploring the pioneer square area. The staff were very willing to suggest great restaurants and activities, and went out of their way to be polite and accommodating. I chose this hotel because of its reasonable price, and was pleasantly surprised with how wonderful it was. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.
The views, comfortable beds, spacious suites
The restaurant Please! Improve the wifi! It not working!
Staff was helpful and cordial Bed was old and smelly. They need new mattress and pillows
locaton everything else
Just the location Nothing it's really old and it's not what's it looks like in the pictures And it smells bad
Character, unique decor, decent location, woman I dealt with upon checking in was warm and professional Price not reflective of quality, mattresses felt cheap, check in delayed due to slow credit card machine, my couch has more personality than younger guy we first interacted with, continental breakfast not open On time and I had a flight to catch so left
Bed was very comfortable. Historic hotel from 1910 very near King St. Station. No elevators. No in-room bathroom. No hair dryer. There was something wrong with reservations of all three people checking in at the same time as me.
Nothing I didn't like that there was no bathroom or shower in the room, no phone, no tv, no fridge, no clock and there was a devise inside the room that seemed like it could be a listening devise and I felt like I had no privacy or amenities to do anything.
I loved the History. This is not a spa stay, its an experience stay. We very much enjoyed staying in a hotel that was like going back in time to our grandparents era. It was also in walking distance of everything. Very quiet and peaceful for the area. They weren't thrilled about taking cash but they DID accommodate. I personally like to use cash when I travel. There was only one outlet in the room but not that big of a deal considering we were there to sight see not sit on our electronics.
The manager of this hotel was beyond rude and not at all hospitable. He made my friend and I so uncofortable that we decided not to stay. When I spoke up he got defensive and even more rude. We decided not to stay because of how we were treated.
The room was better then I expected. And it was really convenient to the Amtrak station. There is plenty of places around that have good food. It was an interesting glimpse in to what hotels were like at the turn of the 20th century. There is a shower. After a long day the front stairs can be a bit much but it is what it is. The continental breakfast is included which is nice but there is ONE person doing everything in the morning so waits for anything can be a long wait in line.
Nothing The owner of the hotel was extremely rude to the guests and ourselves. I have never experienced that level of disrespect from a hotel owner/manager in my life. I would never book from them again and they should be dropped from the site.
Classic historic style in great location. Very clean and well maintained. My mind and spirit were transported to another time and era of world travel.
