Only one member of staff working the bar which meant drinks and cocktails very slow at busy Saturday dinner time , dinner menu I felt was overpriced for a seafood risotto otherwise very good

My only complaint about the hotel is the 'atmospheric' lighting. My husband found it difficult to shave in the low lighting in the bathroom. I was disappointed not to be able to appreciate the visual aspect of the degustation menu in the fine dining restaurant as the lighting is so low. I had to use the torch on my phone to read the menu! I have one complaint about the food at both breakfast and dinner, the hot food was cold. We were served lukewarm soup and fish, cold duck which I sent back, cold scrambled eggs and bacon at breakfast. Such good quality food deserves better treatment. Such a shame.
